North island of Japan with much of unspoiled nature, winter with lots of snowfall while summer isn’t so hot. As such, Hokkaido attracts many outdoor lovers, including skiers and snowboarders during winter and hikers, cyclists and campers from June to September. The gateway is Sapporo which is the key city, coupled with some key beautiful regions like Furano, Niseko, Otaru, Noboribetsu, Hakodate, Asahikawa, Abashiri and more. Additionally, there are many beautiful lake regions such as Lake Toya, Lake Akan etc.
Sapporo is the capitol of Hokkaido. In 1972, it hosted the winter Olympic game. Today it becoming the great place for food and beverages indulgence, many people come for its delicious fresh seafood, wagyu beef, cheese & agriculture products, sweets & savory, beers, sake and more. There is an annual snow festival hosted in February.
Day 1 – Arrival, Jyogai Ichiba (central wholesale market), Mt. Moiwa, Maruyama Park.
Dinner: Katsukanino Hanasaki (Crab) 1 Michelin Star
Hotel: JR Tower Sapporo or similar grade
Day 2 – Shiroikoibito, Sapporo Beer Museum, Otaru canal,
Lunch: Wakadori Jidai Naruto Honten (Fried spring chicken)
Dinner: Teuchisoba Kohashi (soba) 1 Michelin Star
Hotel: JR Tower Sapporo or similar grade
Day 3 – Lake Shikotsu and Noboribetsu
Dinner: Kaiseki dinner at resort
Hotel: Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Resort Spa or similar grade
Day 4 – Odori Park, Sapporo TV Tower, Sapporo Clock Tower
Hotel: JR Tower Sapporo or similar grade
Day 5 – Departure
