7 Days 6 Nights True Sado

Kick off your island adventure! Get ready to explore its diversity of terrain and abundance of nature of the place which famous with its nature preserve and a place of exile for political or religious figures.

Day 1 – Home Country – Tokyo

  • Meal on Board

Upon Arrival, proceed to visit the venerable Asakusa Kannon Temple, which has more than 1300 years of history. From here, you may catch a glimpse of the iconic Tokyo Skytree. Next, pick up souvenirs at nearby Nakamise shopping street, a walkway leading to the temple that is lined with crafts, souvenirs and other cultural curious. You will end the day with a shopping spree in Shinjuku, a sprawling district dotted with dazzling neon sings and sleek skyscrapers.

Day 2 Tokyo – Tochigi – Nikko

  • Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

This morning, transfer to Nikko to visit Toshogu Shrine, was initially built in 1617, during the Edo period.  Toshogu is the centerpiece of Nikko’s vast collection of Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines.  Next Visit the almost 100 meter tall Kegon Waterfall, which claim to be the most famous of Nikko’s many beautiful waterfalls and then visit Lake Chuzenji which located at the foot of Mount Nantai.  You will also have chance to experience the Yuba Making, food made from the skin created by heated soymilk – it’s an incredibly delicious dish that famously comes from the Nikko area.

Day 3 Nikko – Fukushima – Niigata

  • Breakfast/Fukushima Specialty Lunch/Dinner

After breakfast, proceed to Ouchi-Juku, a former post town along the Aizu-Nishi Kaido trade route, which connected Aizu with Nikko during the Edo Period.  Next, proceed to Tsukioka Onsen Area, well-known for its beautifying waters and is well-known across the country for its sulfur content.  Check out the local breweries and trying the footbaths in Tsukioka Onsen Area.

Day 4 Niigata – Sado Island – Niigata – Jo-Etsu

  • Breakfast/Sado Island Specialty Lunch/Dinner

Today, take jetfoil to Sado Island, a nature preserve, and a place of exile for political or religious figures.  You may also try on Tarai-bune Barrel Boats and Taiko Experience in Sado Island.  Beside, visit Sado Gold Mine, which was the most productive mine in Japan, annually producing nearly 400 kg of gold as well as smaller amounts of silver and copper in Edo Period.

Day 5 Jo-Etsu – Nagano

  • Breakfast/ Lunch/Dinner

Try to experience the Washi (Japanese paper) making in Omachi City.  Washi in Omachi City has a long history. The high quality paper is made using raw materials and water drawn from the river that flows through the city, having a warm and strong texture. Thereafter, visit The Daio Wasabi Farm, which is one of Japan’s largest wasabi farms has multiple large fields with a meticulously maintained network of small streams that constantly provides each wasabi plant with clear, flowing water from the Northern Alps.

Day 6 Nagano – Shizuoka – Tokyo

  • Breakfast

This morning, Proceed to Mt Fuji Visitor Center to capture good views of Mt Fuji.  Thereafter, make a stop at Gotemba Premium Outlets. Die hard shopaholics and stylists will need an iron will and a steel-clad resolve to keep wallets in check, for a constellation of international brands and specialty stores housing the trendiest threads converge here.  Before Transfer back to Tokyo, make a stop at Odawara Castle, located in Odawara City, which was a symbol of city on the old Tokaido highway.

Day 7 Tokyo – Narita Airport – Home Country

  • Breakfast

Transfer to airport for you flight back to Home Sweet Home.
